Issue #9
there is coffee in the cupboard
switch on kettle with a heavy palm
glaze over an inbox of
posthumous birthday reminders
see what’s stuffed in the crust this week
between standardised job rejections
place filter over Winnie the Pooh mug
large scoop
two tablespoons
pour fog from a wavering height
droplets retreat
clear or brown
keep pouring
the paper cone floats
flattens
pressed flower
flaunting pollen
brown veins tear down cabinets
in drawers
puddles ponds for silverfish
Pooh dives off the counter
reads up on contemporary architecture in free fall
seventy degrees
cold tiles
muddy mug island drinks
stripes off pyjama bottoms
as a fulfilled pigeon hits the window
