Looking for a job

He is a student who has finished his degree and he applies for a job. He is very happy because he can work now after studying all his life. He applies for a job in a bank and goes to the interview very excited, but he does not get the job. Now he applies for a job in a different bank but he doesn’t get the job. He applies for a job in another bank and they say to him that he needs to complete an online course as preparation for the future job. He is very happy; he thinks that after doing the online course he will get the job. He finished the online course and the person who interviewed him now says that they don’t need him. He is very disappointed and frustrated because he thinks that his degree is useless. He tries to see the positive side of the situation and he thinks that at least he can write in his curriculum vitae that he passed that online course. He goes on looking for jobs and finally he is given a job in McDonalds. He still feels frustrated but the important thing is that now he can pay the rent of the apartment where he lives.

Reflection

I wrote about a common situation. I also wrote the story in a monotonous way in order to reflect that the situation described above is very usual in our current society. I didn’t write the name of the character because I didn’t want to give him a name since lots of people who finish their degrees are living in this situation, so it could be any name. I want to emphasise that an optimistic attitude is very important and that is why the character of this story is an optimistic person, because even when he knew that he wouldn’t be given the job in the bank he thinks that he can write in his curriculum vitae that he passed the online course, so he sees the best side of the situation and it is very difficult to be optimistic in the character's place. As I have said previously it is very common in our current society and most educated people get jobs that are nothing to do with their studies.
