Wordwards
Wordwards is a fascinating pamphlet including creative work generated by creative writing students and staff from the University of Sheffield based on psychogeographical explorations of Sheffield’s Upperthorpe area. The pamphlet is part of the ‘Psyche of the City’ strand of the PlastiCities project.
The pamphlet follows the psycho-route of the city between Ebenezer Elliott’s Upperthorpe and Wardsend cemetery, including poetry and fiction, fictive non-fiction and photography as a creative response to forgotten and derelict post-industrial ghostscapes of Sheffield. The pamphlet was edited by Adam Piette and Agnes Lehoczky, under the development of Matthew Cheeseman and designed by Mass Observation.
