Mangoes

‘What does it taste like, a green mango?’
you want to know. ‘Sour,’ I say.
‘Sour like vinegar or sour like a lemon?’
you ask and I say 'No,
sour like a mango.’

So if someone blind from birth asks
‘What is this thing called green?’
shall I say it is like soft music
or soothes like satin on skin,
or shall I say it reflects light like a sour mango?
