This proposes ‘spring’
This proposes ‘spring’
i
Up Clarinet Drive,
where a blackbird
………………….(the violets adore her)
……—drove like a nail
the worm
This
proposes
‘spring’.
ii
It arrove, arrives or is arriven -
lucid the struck
blossom falls
———— from
—— -a flower tree
loosed white flake
——–by white flake
————by white flake.
iii
Only in this poem
will the blossom drop,
and, mid- take, vanish
with a champagne pop
and the worm
escape.
