Apology is Policy

Apology is policy

In the corridors of power,

Is it the public we serve,

Or to whom we pander?

Please phrase your question

In the form of an answer.

Apology is policy

Free press begets propaganda,

Distinguishing between lies,

And the absence of truth,

Mud of association

Sticks better than glue.

Apology is policy

Publish all hidden agendas,

Futile to try to exorcise lucrative evil,

Our position on teen pregnancy is foetal.

So call me, right honourable,

Find me in trysts with school girls,

Should my constituents, and the press, believe

The sincerity of my apology?
