The Pianist and her Hands
The Pianist and her Hands
Silence stilled-
A paused breath.
The piano's two hands
Descending
Into melodies
And fingers interweaving
This moment’s silence.
Speech stilted
Under the weight
Of bodies.
Held tight:
I cannot write this moment down
Or paraphrase your harmonic
Singing charm.
In paused breaths and
Silent gaps, I find,
The image always comes later.
