Alice? Alice!
Alice? Alice!
the looking glass
(tenuous, i know)
tells me things that it doesn't tell you.
i know you love my self,
i know it was not the beauty of the rabbit
who baited you into that hole.
you didn't throw yourself through the vortex
for a pert round arse,
you didn't sacrifice your sanity (you mad hatter)
for two large eyes and two large breasts.
it don't matter
if i'm black or white,
i know i'm your queen.
so don't tell me
that i'm your snow white belle;
more of a sleeping beauty than her, or her (i mean aurora)
i'll only get curiouser,
so although it's nice of you to try
you don't see things i
can see, and you shouldn't -
just please me, don't appease me.
you love me for the inside,
let me worry about outside.
no changing places.
